Dr Nickolas Burnett

Special Interest in Implants and Sedation

Nickolas qualified at Queen’s University Belfast in 1980. He worked in Community Dentistry and at The Royal Victoria Hospital Paediatric Department before moving to work in General Dental Practice both in Northern Ireland and Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

Nickolas has been Practice Principal here in Cambridge since 1988 and has a Special Interest in all types of general dentistry including provision of routine Dental Implants and Intravenous Sedation for nervous patients.

In 2010 he completed a certificate in Implantology at the Eastman Dental Hospital and is a member of SAAD.

Dr Judy Roberts

Special Interest in Orthodontics

Judy qualified in 2003 from the University of Birmingham, where she developed an interest in paediatric and orthodontic dentistry, as well as the treatment of nervous patients, and qualified as a counsellor during her training. Judy worked in the Midlands for 10 years, in the practice where she completed her vocational training, practicing both general and orthodontic dentistry; she undertook further qualifications to provide many orthodontic systems, including Invisalign, Quick Straight Teeth, Inman aligner and fixed appliances. Judy also provides appliances to help people who snore.


Judy moved to Cambridge 4 years ago and has been providing general dentistry and private orthodontics during this time. Judy is happy to provide NHS and private treatments.

Dr Aparna Vidyashankar

Aparna completed her bachelor’s degree from the Rajiv Gandhi University for Health Sciences, Bengaluru, India. After qualifying, she worked as a General Dental Practioner in India for 3 years. Since moving to United Kingdom, she has completed the Overseas Registration Examination (ORE) and completed a year of Dental Foundation Training by equivalence in the West Midlands deanery area. She was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (MFDS RCS Edin) in 2014. 

Aparna joined Nickolas Burnett & Associates in October 2017 and has built a reliable and friendly relationship with her patients thereafter. Her interests lie in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry and has recently completed a Post Graduate Certificate in the same from Dominic Hassall Training Institute, Solihull Birmingham. She is a certified Bioclear practitioner. 


In Aparna’s spare time, she enjoys travelling and oil painting.

Aparna treats patients both Privately and provides routine NHS Care.

Tina qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1998 (GDC 141126) Since qualification Tina has assisted in all aspects of Dentistry and has a Special Interest in assisting with Sedation, Implant and Surgical procedures. Throughout her career she has attended several courses at the Eastman Dental hospital and with SAAD.

Cancelled Appointments

When a patient cancels an appointment with less than a full working days' notice, or fails to attend an appointment, we reserve the right to refuse NHS Dental Treatment or charge a late cancellation or failure to attend fee. The size of which depends on the amount of time wasted.

Emergency Service

An out of hours emergency service is provided for NHS Patients by calling 111.
